The Schlossmuseum Ismaning
contains a select collection
illuminating the cultural history
of Ismaning, which was first
mentioned in a document in 809.

The exhibition provides insight
into the history of the palace,
which in the Baroque period
served as the summer residence
of the Freising prince-bishops. In
the nineteenth century the com-
plex was given its classical form,
which has been largely pre-
served until today.

Additional objects and documents
offer information about the more
recent history of Ismaning, its
structural development, infra-
structure, businesses and
industries. The permanent ex-
hibition of the museum is
regularly supplemented by special
exhibitions.
